IRISH ARTS REVIEW
SPRING 1985
VOLUME 2. No. 1
Irland '85 • Zurich
An unusual exhibition is scheduled for May in the Old Military Riding Hall,
Zurich, Switzerland, under the patronage of Dr. T. Wagner, Stadtpräsident of Zurich and the Irish Ambassador to Switzerland, His Excellency Mr. Patrick Power. This exhibition of contemporary visual Irish arts: painting, graphics, ceramics, sculpture and photography, will be unusual in that it will be confined to the work-of a group of artists living and working in West Cork and representative of the artistic region Schull, Skibbereen and Ballydehob since the first vanguard of artists settled in Ballydehob in the early 60's. Keggie Carew, David Checovich, Pat Connor, Carol James, Brian Lalor, Colin Murray, Leda May, Terry Searle, John Verling, lan Wright, Lynn Wright, and photographer Kevin O'Farrell will participate in this exhibition and they hope that a selection of their work will subsequently tour other European and Irish venues.
